Team Lead Drilling Engineering
Business Unit: Indonesia Pangkah
Manager: Drilling Manager
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, study, or research on new technique, solution, or technology that will enable SAKA to drill and complete the well safer, more efficient, less NPT, and meet the technical objectives.
- Review and challenge engineering solution proposed by drilling and completion engineer both during design and operational stage.
- Review current drilling & completion performance, identify gap, and propose a profound engineering solution to close the gap.
- Lead drilling or completion engineer in performing risk assessment of a drilling or completion engineering task. Lead the development of mitigation, contingency, and optimization plan.
- Benchmark SAKA Drilling & Completion performance with other operators, and set the target bar for SAKA.
- Lead drilling or completion operation incident/accident investigation together with HSE Specialist, and/or with QA/QC specialist if involving equipment failure.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- An engineering degree
- 15+ years’ experience in well design and drilling operation, offshore and onshore. Rig site experience.
- Familiar with Drilling & Completion engineering software (Casing Design, Cementing Design, Mud design, Torque and Drag simulation).
- Have valid IWCF Well Control certificate as supervisory level.
- Fluent in spoken and written English

- Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
- International experience
- Deep water experience
