QA Engineer (Firmware/Software/Network/Mac)


Responsibilities:

The intents for this department are:

1. To establish a low-cost development capability in Asia to service organizations to achieve substantial development cost savings through appropriate R&D activities and programs off-shoring while improving quality,
2. To achieve better leverage and synergy for managing external Asia R&D partners for better efficiency and cost effectiveness,

The range of products created by R&D Hub spans across the range of imaging and printing devices of digital cameras, multi-function printers, plotters, digital senders, and printers.

As a software/firmware quality engineer you are a member of a cross-functional team and you'll be working mainly with R&D, sales/support departments and marketing to provide solutions quality engineering domain expertise.

With your guidance and knowledge, you will help to identify quality measures and include these into solutions under design. You will review internal and external customer requirements, specifications and designs to assure product quality. You will actively champion the deployment of selected release criteria across organizations or departments to meet solutions quality goals.


Your responsibilities will include developing test strategy and quality plan for software/firmware solutions to meet the product specifications and user needs and to drive the execution of solutions testing. This will also involve leading the cross-functional team to define and implement the release criteria.

In addition to support the development and cross-functional team, you will be required to improve the software qualification/testing methodology and processes and explore new test tools and technology, to improve productivity and test cycle turn-around-time.

If necessary you'll provide specialized quality related services to selected departments such as manufacturing and marketing.

Requirements :

• Education

• Minimum a Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree in Quality Engineering / Reliability Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science

Skills and Experience :

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of QA/Solutions Testing experience.
• Must possess a very solid understanding of testing methodologies
• Must have very good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well with other people.
• Experience in full software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies
• Possess strong project and resources management skills
• Strong vendor management skills
• Leadership qualities with demonstrable traits of integrity, achievement oriented, empathy, people connection, and coping with change
• Experience working well with internal and external partners across geographically distributed locations
• Ability to interface with all levels in organization
