Global Business Continuity Specialist
(National Capital Reg - Pasig)
Ø Responsible for the maintenance and testing of the IT Disaster Recovery Plans and coordination of plan objectives with the continuity plans from the business units
Ø Must coordinate the development and assessment of recovery strategies including backup procedures, record retention, system restoration procedures and high availability solutions
Ø Establish scope and objectives of Disaster Recovery tests at offsite locations and schedule test timing and resources accordingly
Ø Conduct business impact analysis and risk assessments, gap analysis and executive summaries
Ø Design, development, and documentation of business partner business continuity plans
Ø Coordinate yearly business continuity plan AND disaster recovery plan exercises
Ø Develop schedules for training / awareness for business partner associates
Ø Coordinate development of business unit schedules for annual business continuity documentation maintenance and update, exercises, and independent review and validation
Ø Report the business continuity status of business units to executive management
Ø Provide expertise and support to management and business functional areas, as requested, when a business disruption occurs
Ø Function as key coordinator and point of contact during crisis situations – must be available as first-responder and primary point of contact and coordinator during any disaster scenario
Ø Available for international travel at least 25% of the time
Ø May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Ø The Specialist position requires significant knowledge of business impact analysis, crisis management, business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and a strong understanding of information technology.
Ø Must understand business processes and improvement strategies as well as technology and data dependencies within the IT infrastructure and how they affect recovery strategies.
Ø Must have prior experience creating a business continuity program and managing all aspects of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Ø Must be comfortable performing executive-level status briefings
Ø Travel and off-hour on-call support required
Ø Extensive project management skills, especially with IT and security-related projects
Ø Strong verbal/written communications. Must be able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners and with executive management
Ø Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
Ø Strong administrative skills, with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve target dates
Ø Must be a leader and a productive team player
Ø Strong understanding of data center operations and critical dependencies
Ø Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
Ø A minimum of 5 years experience in the Business Continuity or Emergency Management field and 3 years project management
Ø Certified Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery Planner and PMI Professional Project Manager (PMP) preferred
Ø A four year degree is strongly preferred
