OSS Network Operations Planning Team Leader
Main Responsibilities
• Evaluation of requirements specific to CDMA/Transmission/VAS/DCN Network from users.
• Providing Expertise on the Network Management Systems/Element Management Systems for CDMA/Transmission/VAS/DCN Technology.
• Recommendations to the Architect on alternatives to a requirement.
• Lab testing of transport equipment for interfacing requirements.
• Proof of concept testing along with Architect.
• Document review.
• Coordination with Transport Equipment vendors to extract detailed technical information for implementation.
• Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Requirements :
• Electronics and Telecom Engineer (S1 Degree) with 3-5 years of experience in Network Operations and Planning.
• Experience of having worked on an OSS project or having involvement would be an added benefit.
• Deep understanding of Transport equipment Vendors Network Management capabilities.
• Understanding of Network Management Principles M series recommendations.
• Knowledge of eToM would be an added advantage.
• Specific technical skill : Network Management Systems / Element Management theory and principles, ITU - standards related to Transport network, Ability to understand and evaluate internal/external specifications, Understanding of ITU standards related to Transport network.
• Leadership & Strategic and operational bent of mind.
• Good communication & writing skills in English.
• Strong problem owner and completer/finisher.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency in providing quality service to both internal and external customers.
OSS Operations Planning Support Engineer
Main Responsibilities
As part of the OSS Operations Planning Team, manage the support team consisting of OSS administrators , application monitoring and management; DCN Support group; Back and Disaster Recovery teams. Setup and manage a team for on-call 24 x 7 support. Support teams roles include: maintaining uptime of the OSS and DCN network; first point of contact for the user ; administration of the OSS and DCN; review problems, bug reports and plan a course of action.
Requirements :
• At least have Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Telecomunication/Computer Science) from reputable university.
• Have 2-4 years of experience in OSS Product testing , Test case development; Working knowledge of commonly used databases ; OS script writing .
• Required technical skill : Database queries, OS - Unix (IBM, Solaris), Windows, Perl , Java , SQL, Knowledge of Complaint management and resolution methodologies, Working Knowledge of OSS systems, Working knowledge of data communications.
• Good communication & writing skills in English.
• Strong work ethic, Well presented and professional, Genuine enthusiasm for technology and its application to providing business solutions.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency in providing quality service to both internal and external customers.
