Operations Technicians


Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe and optimal operation of major processing equipment (e.g. Furnaces, towers, reactors, compressors, feed and product storages) as well as pipeline distribution systems (e.g. Marine terminal), both in the field and via the plant’s DCS
• Perform unit start-up/shut-down and plant turnaround activities
• Draft standard operating procedures for the unit
• Perform structured rounds (field/DCS console) and troubleshooting, as well as initiate corrective actions to ensure that the equipment and plant operations are within safe operating limits
• Resolve operational issues and provide support for the Technical and Mechanical teams

Requirements:

• A good Diploma/Technical Certificate in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Process Technology
• Prior work experience in a refinery or petrochemical plant is advantageous
• Steam cracker field/DCS Console or Aromatics plant experience is an advantage
• An effective team player with good communication skills
• Able to perform shift duties
